Day 1 — three steps in this order
Section titled “Day 1 — three steps in this order”If today is your first day with the playbook, do these three things before anything else. The whole rest of the curriculum compounds off of them.
- Take the self-assessment (2 minutes). Tells you which belt to actually start at.
- Read Tech 101 chapter 1 (5 minutes) — or skip if you already know what a server is.
- Run W.5 → Quest W-0 (~60 minutes). The two-step install + the five GREEN checks. By the end of this you’ve shipped your first “I have working Claude Code” claim.
Stuck at any step? Post in #ai-help within ten minutes — that’s the support channel for everything Day 1.

- Part 0 — Foundation — Tech 101 + Ops 101. Pre-tools, pre-AI.
- ⚪ White Belt — Understand the White Belt path, evidence chain, and the exact work required to earn the first belt.
- 🟡 Yellow Belt — Understand the Yellow Belt path, daily AI-building claim, quests, boss fight, and evidence chain.
- 🟢 Green Belt — Understand the Green Belt arc, what is drafted in Part A, and what comes next in Parts B and C.
- ⚫ Black Belt — Understand the Black Belt arc, walk Parts A, B, and C, claim Quests B-1 and B-2, ship Boss Fight B-B, and earn the badge.
- Staff+ Council — senior IC community above the belts. Invitation only.
